Modernizing IT Management & Services using Microsoft SCCM
Location: USA
Industry: Healthcare
Problems
Client was already running legacy version of system center in their environment SCCM 2012. The client was not really happy with the downtime.
- The customer found it challenging to keep new machines updated once they were registered.
- Furthermore, application deployment (as well as security software up-gradation) took a lot of time without centralized systems management software.
Solutions
Allied Consultants implemented a side by side migration to newer Microsoft SCCM (branch 1902). Client wanted to avoid the downtime, therefore we implemented side by side configuration and helped their IT Team to provide uninterrupted services.
Following components and services were configured:
- Primary Site deployment.
- Extension of Active Directory Schema.
- Windows update Management (windows update point)
- Management of endpoint (management Point)
Solutions
- Driver management (Driver packages for various vendor specific hardware).
- Automate Operating deployment for multiple hardware architecture and editions.
- IIS Features and management tools.
The most challenging part of this project’s solution was that some of end point devices were still running 32-bit windows 7 operating system along with 32-bit office application. Allied Consultants helped them refreshing the architecture along with the application upgrade to x64 architecture.
Tech Stack
- Microsoft System Center Configuration management Brach 1902
- SQL Database Standard for management Database
- DFS File system for packages and source path
